Bel Fuse Inc. launches the SWI6D and SMI6D series of 5W to 6W external power supplies in the CUI portfolio. They are available in fixed wall plug and interchangeable wall plug models. These versatile wall plug adapters are engineered to meet the standard requirements of ITE and consumer applications worldwide.

The series prioritises energy efficiency and device protection. They feature ultra-low no-load power consumption (<0.1W), which lowers operating temperatures, extends adapter life, improves system reliability, and lowers total costs. The over-current and short-circuit protection keep connected devices safe from electrical issues, reducing the risk of damage and failure.

Designed for worldwide use, these adapters offer global compatibility with a universal input voltage range of 90VAC to 264VAC, ensuring they work seamlessly with power outlets anywhere. The fixed blade adapters (SWI6D, SWI6AD) are available with US, EU, and UK blades, while the interchangeable models (SMI6D, SMI6AD) feature various regional adapters (NA, EU, UK, AU, CN) for global compatibility. To provide maximum flexibility, the series includes corded and USB-A inlet options, accommodating a wide range of devices. There will be further stocking units with USB-C plugs to accommodate global standardisation.

"The launch of our SWI6D and SMI6D series reinforces Bel Fuse's dedication to providing advanced power solutions that directly address the evolving demands of the ITE and consumer markets," said Gen Reguera, product manager. "Our 6W fixed and multi-blade series are engineered for deep customizability, allowing our clients to collaborate directly with Bel's technical experts to achieve optimal versatility and significant cost efficiencies within their designs."

Engineered to meet complex performance and safety standards, the SWI6D and SMI6D series comply with Level VI energy efficiency requirements and adhere to IEC 62368-1 safety standards. The comprehensive standards mitigate potential hazards and minimise power waste, providing users with assurance of reliable, safe, and sustainable operation in ITE and consumer applications.
