Saelig Company, Inc. now offers the MSR85 Ultralow Temperature Logger, which, due to its replaceable ½ AA 3.6V battery and long operating life, can be employed multiple times as a cost-effective and sustainable solution for cold chain monitoring. Using an internal PT1000 platinum temperature sensor, with an accurate measurement range of -85C to +70C, the device can store up to 32,000 measurements with 0.1C resolution at preselected intervals (1/5/8/10/15/30/60/120 mins). Logging Start Delay can be set from one minute up to 45 days, and built-in LEDs show the logger's status.
Setting up the device is simple via a USB-C PC connection; before use, all required parameters such as alarm limits, measurement interval or time zone can be configured using the Configuration Tool. Recording is then started conveniently with the push of a button. After transport, recipients can immediately see an LED indication if hazardous threshold values have been exceeded. Once recording is stopped by pressing the unit's button, the logger can be connected to a PC via USB; the device will then automatically generate tamper-proof PDF and CSV reports of all relevant data. The MSR85 temperature logger is EN 12830 certified for food and pharmaceutical logistics and complies with FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
The MSR85 is supplied with a five-point calibration certificate and is safe for air, land, and sea transport; no special marking is required according to IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) guidance. Housed in a 2" round, 1.8" thick, robust, temperature-resistant housing (IP67) made of polycarbonate/ABS, the MSR85 weighs only 1.5oz.
