IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH (Germany) is now the only provider in the industry to offer a voluntary three-year manufacturer's warranty on all camera series under the IDS brand. With this expanded service, it is setting new standards for quality, reliability and long-term investment protection.

The warranty applies to cameras from the uEye, uEye+, uEye Live, uEye EVS, uEye 3D and IDS NXT series that were purchased directly from the manufacturer or through authorised distribution partners. It is aimed exclusively at business customers and extends the statutory warranty.

Under the voluntary manufacturer's warranty, IDS undertakes to provide one of the following services within 36 months in the event of proven material or manufacturing defects, at no additional cost to the customer:

  • Repair of the defective product
  • Replacement delivery of a new or equivalent model
  • Refund of the purchase price if neither repair nor replacement is possible.

Optionally, the manufacturer's warranty can be extended to up to three years for an additional fee. The voluntary manufacturer's warranty is closely linked to the high manufacturing quality of IDS cameras. At IDS, 'Made in Germany' means an exceptionally high level of in-house vertical integration and certified processes. Regular investment in specialised machinery and qualified personnel for production and quality assurance ensures that the cameras meet the highest requirements of industrial applications.

"With this voluntary three-year manufacturer's warranty, we offer our customers even greater planning security and long-term added value – a performance promise that is currently unique in the industry," emphasises IDS managing director Alexander Lewinsky.

The extended warranty underscores the company's commitment to providing the highest quality, innovative technology and reliable service. It adds a clearly measurable benefit to the service promise to business customers in line with the company's vision of offering the best user experience in the vision market.
