ANRITSU CORPORATION has announced its base station simulators have been adopted in a high-speed SAR measurement solution developed by Microwave Factory Co., Ltd. in collaboration with Schmid and Partner Engineering AG. This solution automates RF exposure assessments for 5G standalone (SA), 5G non-standalone (NSA), and 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE) devices, supporting the development of safer mobile devices.

The system seamlessly integrates the following products:

  • Microwave Factory: MATEOS Antenna Measurement Software
  • Schmid and Partner Engineering: cSAR3D Vector Array System
  • Anritsu: MT8000A / MT8821C Base Station Simulators

In conventional SAR measurements, engineers manually configured the MT8000A/MT8821C. This solution automates the complete SAR measurement process, greatly reducing setup time. It also supports a wide range of standards, from LTE (4G) to 5G NR (SA/NSA), allowing faster and fully automated measurement operations.

SAR testing is vital to ensure that mobile devices, such as smartphones, comply with safety standards for human RF exposure. This collaboration allows manufacturers to perform critical measurements more quickly and reliably, helping bring safer products to market faster.
