Circuit protection for two CAN bus lines in automotive applications

Inelco Hunter now offers the ProTek Devices PAM3CAN36 device for two CAN Bus Lines of Circuit Protection in Automotive Applications. 

The device has been specifically designed to protect two automotive CAN bus lines from the damaging effects of ESD and other electrical transients.

The device is available in a JEDEC SOT-23 package configuration. It is AEC-Q101 Qualified compatible with IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD): ±8kV Contact, ±15kV Air. It is also compatible with IEC61000-4-4 (EFT): 40A, 5/50ns and IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge): 1.5A, 8/20μs. It features 80W Peak Pulse Power per Line (tp = 8/20μs). It has a low clamping voltage, low leakage current and low capacitance.

The approximate weight is 8mg. It is lead-free Pure-Tin Plating (Annealed) and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The Solder Reflow Temperature is Pure-Tin - Sn, 100: 260-270C. The Flammability Rating is UL 94V-0. The devices are supplied on an 8mm Tape and Reel meeting EIA Standard 481.
