Mouser Electronics, Inc. now stocks the PAN1783 and PAN1783A Bluetooth 5.4 LE wireless modules from Panasonic. Based on the nRF5340 SoC by Nordic Semiconductor, the modules offer advanced wireless capabilities with improved sensitivity. The modules excel in applications, such as advanced computer peripherals, wearables, wireless audio devices, and asset tracking. Featuring ultra-low power consumption, the modules are also an ideal choice for battery-powered devices.

The modules feature dual Cortex-M33 processors, with one serving as an application processor and the other as a network processor. This feature enables the modules to operate in standalone mode, eliminating the need for an external processor and saving space, as well as reducing complexity and costs. The modules' Bluetooth 5.4 features include isochronous channels and LE audio, high throughput with LE 2M, long-range with LE Coded, and mesh networking. The modules also support 802.15.4 ZigBee and Thread. The PAN1783 features an onboard chip antenna, while the PAN1783A includes an RF-bottom pad for external antenna connection.

The PAN1783/A modules support AoA and AoD direction finding and Type 2 Near Field Communication (NFC-A) for simplified pairing and payment solutions (an external antenna is required). The PAN1783/A Bluetooth 5.4 LE Audio Wireless Modules offer a range of security features, including trusted execution, root-of-trust, secure key storage, and 128-bit AES encryption.
